Salmsein Organic Farm

For many generations, the Kritzinger family has cultivated the idyllic organic Salmsein Farm in a sustainable and responsible way. Surrounded by meadows and forests and against the backdrop of the Schlern mountain the farm offers a variety of different home-made products that are for sale in the farm shop: These range from fresh mountain cereals and baked goods, sausages, meat, cheeses and bacon to schnaps and fresh fruit like apples and berries. Many other goods of neighboring farms and products such as pine wood or larch wood troughs are available for purchase on demand.

At the same time, the farm offers holidaymakers a welcoming, biological domicile: one apartment is accessible for people with disabilities, the next is allergy-friendly and the third is suitable for pets. Even horses may be brought along to enjoy mountain air and fresh grass full of medicinal herbs on the 2200m high alpine meadows protected by wolf-protection fences and dogs. Not only children can enjoy their vacation on the farm: even adults are invited to get their hands dirty and to help out with the everyday chores on the farm. Whether you're looking for an adventurous time or a relaxing holiday: at the Salmsein Farm, which is located in the middle of the leisure paradise of the Seiseralm in South Tyrol, there's no shortage of restaurants, hiking routes and sport activities all year-round. Camping lovers are welcome, too: Tents or campers can be brought along to enjoy some time on the farm, having a BBQ or a dip in the farm's own natural lake.

The emission-free heating system is one of the many special features of the already 21-year-old organic farm, along with the innovative liquid-compost and water application system. For improved mobility the farm offers a free charging station for e-bikes and car-rental on site. And for those who are still looking for the perfect setting for their wedding: here at the Salmsein Farm nothing is left to chance...
